Science and Spuds in P7!

Our P7s have been investigating which preservative agent works best at maintaining the freshness of potatoes. 

The girls made salt, sugar, vinegar and water solutions, leaving their potatoes in each solution for 10 days. The scientists ensured that they carried out a fair test.

After the results were analysed, the  P7s concluded that the most efficient preservative was the vinegar solution as it had acidic properties.
