The Eco-council were invited down to the Habitat for Humanity ReStore on the Crumlin Road for an informative session about recycling and up-cycling!
Pete, Caroline and Dawn give us a tour of the store, sent us on special tasks and showed us how we can up-cycle old items and turn them into something new!
We transformed old tiles into beautiful coasters and thoroughly enjoyed getting to explore the store.
Pete taught us about how much electrical waste there is each year and what we can do to help reduce this.
Next time your toaster or fridge stops working, try bringing to a local Repair Cafe or if you’re buying new items, drop your old ones down to the ReStore store!
