P5 Try it Day
The girls in primary five have had a super time trying out seven different activities in Ballysillan Leisure Centre. On arrival at the leisure centre each girl was given a t-shirt and then immediately started the first activity which was hockey. Other activities included netball, cricket, rugby, camogie, rowing. The one which we were most curious about was called bokwa. We learned that bokwa is a new and completely different approach to group exercise which originated in South Africa. A tired but happy group of girls arrived back in school just before home time. Amazingly the girls who go to the after school Gaelic club managed to find some energy to take part in their class and it goes without saying that everyone slept well that night!!
