Our Senses

In our first half term we enjoyed learning all about Our Senses. We engaged in fun, practical activities exploring our sense of touch, sight, smell, taste and hearing.

We enjoyed dressing up and working in the role-play corner, the Opticians. Here we carried out eye tests, wrote appointment cards and chose our favourite glasses!

We designed and created our glasses. Don’t they look cool?

We also participated in a taste test and decided which foods were salty, sweet, bitter and sour. We pulled some funny faces!

We explored our sense of hearing and explored percussion instruments, sorting for how they could be played and also the sound they produced. We then got busy at home designing and making our very own instruments using homemade materials. Our teacher said they sounded great!!
